Although these kids appear to just be drinking water, students in chorus practiced and learned SOVT (Semi Occluded Vocal Tract) exercises using straws, water, and their vocal instruments! These exercises change the airflow and pressure, reducing strain on the vocal folds and increasing their efficiency and recovery. 🎶💧 #STEAM

After learning about using coordinate systems to find absolute locations, Ms. Howard's 7th grade social studies students partnered up to play a latitude and longitude game, similar to Battleship, to identify the specific location of hidden ducks in the world. 🌎
8th grade ELA students teamed up to refresh their knowledge of key literary terms they’ve explored throughout the years in ELA and wrote their own six word memoirs!
8th grade exploring agriculture students competed in an ice breaker team activity, building towers from spaghetti noodles, tape, and string. #Teamwork #STEM
