-Pajama pants are not permitted unless specifically approved by the Principal for a function.
-If your child wears leggings, please ensure the outer garment (shirt, dress, or skirt) covers the buttocks entirely.

This past Saturday we had 7th-8th grade band students travel to Ware County Middle School to audition for our District’s Honor band competition. Students were judged on their major scales, chromatic scale, prepared etude, and sight reading. Please congratulate these four students on winning chair placements in this year’s Honor Band!

Mrs. Farrar's 8th-grade ELA class used a creative approach to review narrative techniques! Students dressed their class turkey with feathers that highlighted different narrative techniques, such as foreshadowing, flashback, irony, and point of view. Students analyzed narrative techniques from recently read stories, supported their ideas with specific text evidence, and completed a festive activity that reinforced core ELA skills.

Mark your calendars for a fun afternoon at the Middle School Powderpuff Tournament! November 18th at 4:15 PM, Martin Stadium. Concessions, face painting, and food trucks will be available—and a portion of proceeds will benefit the Pearlman Center. Come join us!

Lowndes Middle School Baseball Tryouts

Tryouts will be held as follows:

6th Grade Only: December 8th and 9th, 3:30–5:15 PM
7th & 8th Grade Only: December 10th and 11th, 3:30–5:15 PM

All students trying out must have a valid physical on file. Students must bring a glove and cleats to participate.

Ms. Rihm's class used Magic AI's writing feedback feature, which was aligned with the 6th-grade standards for argument techniques and the argumentative writing rubric. Students loaded their writing into the AI to gain valuable feedback on their strengths, areas for growth, and writing mechanics. The students enjoyed receiving immediate feedback as they worked to improve their writing skills.
